Mother's Day Inspired Brunch Shoot | Annapolis Portrait Photography
I’ve been thinking about Motherhood a lot lately, especially as so many of my past bride’s are transitioning into this wonderful new stage of life! Being a parent is a life-long job and blessing that I have not yet experienced. As I think about it, my mother has done more to directly shape me than any other person. Not only did she home-school me and my siblings (6 OF US!) from kindergarten to high school, she did it while also dealing with cultural and life changes. My mom taught me to prioritize faith and family, how to cook arepas, and to always work hard. There is so much more that I can’t even begin to cover that I makes me so grateful for my mom!
As mother’s day approaches, I wanted to celebrate motherhood and the beauty of strong women. Although I primary focus on Maryland and DC wedding photography, I was so excited to be a part of capturing this beautifully styled Mother's Day Brunch Shoot. Floral Designer Kirby-Jay described it perfectly as “a whimsical industrial elegant affair of dreamy tulle gowns, delectable meringue kisses, lavish floral details and luxe accessories.” A special place was also set to remember all of the "angels" - mothers who are no longer with us. Below are a few of my favorites from this dreamy shoot and I hope this encourages you to celebrate the wonderful, strong, unique women in your life and take some time to relax+have some fun!
