Shakespeare may well be best known for showcasing romance through Romeo and Juliet, but the satirical passion in his play “Much Ado About Nothing” speaks closer to modern couples in love and which was the theme for today’s modern Maryland wedding inspiration!

This modern-industrial styled wedding in Ellicott City, MD inspired by the love of Beatrice and Benedick, acquaintances who exchange cutting witty remarks and only admit their love for each other after their friends conspire to make it happen. We now know that passion comes in many shapes and sizes - and often from unexpected places. Some of the most unusual beginnings lead to the deepest connections and spurs on love for a lifetime.

Main Street Ballroom, with its strong industrial atmosphere, was the perfect backdrop to bring this nod to Shakespeare into the modern age, especially paired with the custom A-frame arch by Green Woodworks. Incorporating purple + silver hues, fruit displays, and candles into the decor brought in the perfect amount of rich romance that complemented the space perfectly! We had such a wonderful team that worked to bring this wedding shoot to life and I hope you enjoy our modern take on one of Shakespeare’s classic stories!
